FOOBAR2000 SKINS AUDIOPHILE SOFTWARE
So it really puzzles me, why on earth not change that or at least give some more layout options? It's as if Peter has some bizzare fetish for obsolete looking software and he insists on keeping it that way no matter what anyone says. Since I remember people all over the internet repeat the same thing: "Foobar is good, but the interface is ridiculous". After all, chances are I will end up looking at it for years, so why not look at something aesthetically pleasing that will add to my good mood? So now imagine having a nice set of bookshelf speakers and playing music on Foobar - because that's the situation. Whenever I buy anything, be it a keyboard or a new stereo system, the design is also a factor. Some people may rush to say: But, but - BUT! - it doesn't matter how it looks if it is good! It would be more funny if it wasn't annoying. I would love to hear his opinion (if possible).

There could even be made a "skins" page on the website, next to the "components" page, with files that automatically install just like the components do now.Īccording to me, Peter is not interested because why would he not make this after so many years? Or maybe he never had time for it. I would LOVE to see this for foobar2000 too.

To this end there are 24 digital signal processing (DSP) components that manipulate and evolve your audio output, many specifically catered to audiophile needs. I have no problem with the simple look but if Peter is interested, it would be awesome to have a well-documented skin system that's very user friendly, so everybody can make skins. when passion meet quality. The resource of real audiophile who enjoy the quality music. Incidentally, using a music player application like Foobar2000 in its normal function of music file playback, doesn't actually 'send them' (the files) to anything. Beauty is only skin deep, away from aesthetics you may want to add a little kick to the already impressive fb2k feature list. System with fake decks and knobs, but something simplistic and just nice to look at. It would be perfect with a sleeker and darker layout - NOT a fake stereo I just can't get over the notepadesque interface. This component is made obsolete by foobar2000 version 1.6, which includes 7-zip support in its bundled. This component decodes game music for the Nintendo DS console, as ripped in the. This is called Track Gain (or Radio Gain in earlier parlance).

ReplayGain allows the loudness of each song within a collection of songs to be consistent. It defines an algorithm to measure the perceived loudness of audio data. I use Foobar for more than a decade now, its among my favorite software, but A component that acts as a host for components written in C. ReplayGain is the name of a technique invented to achieve the same perceived playback loudness of audio files. Quote from: Necroscope on 20:25:13 I was about to post the same thing.
